"Ordered masak lemak beef and masak kicap ayam. Food was okay and the portion was quite big. The dessert, bukit kelapa, was really delicious. Shoutout to the waiter, Sajjad—service memang tip top and he was always alert to what customers needed. Overall, a nice dining experience. Might come back again with my family."

The lauk-pauk are tasty, the sambal has a good spicy kick, and everything is freshly prepared. The restaurant has a comfortable and spacious setting, making it great for families. Service is good, the food comes out fairly quickly, and the prices are reasonable for a mall location. Overall, it’s a satisfying spot to enjoy authentic kampung flavours."

"I am very satisfied with the food here. All the dishes were delicious, the portions were generous, and the taste was absolutely on point. The presentation was also beautiful and very appetizing. The prices are reasonable for the quality provided. The service was excellent as well. A staff member named Najihah was very friendly, polite, and helpful. She served customers with a warm smile, took orders promptly, and made sure everything was in good order. She truly made the dining experience more comfortable and enjoyable."

"My recent visit to this outlet was great. We went outside peak hours, before dinner time and had an early dinner there. We purposely chose Cili Kampung for the vibes and calm surroundings - perfect for a relaxed catch-up. It felt comfortable to sit, eat, and chitchat without feeling rushed, especially since we were squeezing in a quick catch-up session. The service was warm and attentive throughout the evening. The price is on the slightly pricey side, but it’s well worth it for the generous portions and overall experience. We had Sambal Udang Petai, Terung Goreng Belacan, and Sambal 3 Negeri - all spicy, super fragrant, and totally got our appetite going. The sambal was rich and flavourful, not just spicy for show. Fresh prawns, nice petai kick, and crispy eggplant with that belacan aroma that hits straight away. Finished with Pisang Goreng Gula Hangus + vanilla ice cream - hot and cold combo, simple but so good. Definitely a spot for sambal lovers Good to know that they now have several branches in other locations, and even better - Cili Kampung is also available at The Light Hotel Penang which is my hometown. Verdict: one of my favorite spots for authentic traditional Malay cuisine. Even if I’m alone, I’d still come here preferably the Sunway Pyramid outlet whenever I feel like digging into Malay flavours in a fine-dining setting."

"We went for a family dinner on weekend. Since we were a big group of 23 pax, we made a reservation and order food in advance. By the time we came most of the food was already on the table. However all the additional orders (drinks, dishes, dessert) afterwards were very slow. The staff were nice and polite all the way but imagine eating spicy food without drinks and since we sat in the private room, we always need to go out and look for a waiter to add on orders. It would be nice if the restaurant could put a buzzer in the room. Overall, the food was nice. We’d definitely come back."
